Director of Communications
Samantha Monckton is a seasoned creative and strategic communications expert and campaigner based in Canada, with more than 30 years of experience in design, public relations, and campaign development. Since moving to Vancouver in 1993, she has worked across diverse sectors including labor unions, professional associations, non-profits, small businesses, social justice organizations, and political campaigns.
Her expertise spans graphic design, brand development, media relations, crisis communications, strategic planning, and inclusive marketing. Samantha has led and supported numerous high-profile issue-based and electoral campaigns, successfully assisting elected officials in Canada and British Columbia in their bids for re-election.
In 2015, she led the international campaign and worked alongside his legal team and press advocates to free Egyptian-Canadian journalist Mohamed Fahmy during his incarceration in Egypt. She is also a co-founder of March On Canada, the civil movement that organized the women’s marches across Canada from 2017 to 2019. Samantha continues to work on advocacy campaigns addressing safe supply and the opioid crisis, women’s rights, environmental protection, and Indigenous communities. She currently serves as CEO and Creative Director of Talking Dog Communications and remains deeply engaged in progressive social and political communications nationwide.
